INDIA MATTERS

Publication of the Consulate General of India, Dubai (2009 – 2010)

Launched in 2009 under the editorial guidance of then Consul General of India Venu Rajamony, India Matters is a monthly magazine that reports on the latest developments in India, as well as events relating to the Indian community in the UAE. It endeavours to promote and strengthen the India-UAE economic partnership by providing news, views and reviews that would assist the business community in the UAE. The publication is a part of the wider outreach programme of the Indian Embassy in Abu Dhabi and the Consulate in Dubai.

The magazine was launched by former Indian President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam at a glittering function in Dubai on the 29th of April, 2009. The function was attended by His Highness Sheikh Saud Bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah; High Highness Sheikh Majid Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Culture; H.E. Humaid Mohamed Al Qutami, UAE Health Minister; a number of Indian and Arab dignitaries, prominent businessmen and the media.

India Review is the monthly magazine of the Embassy of India, Washington. The publication was launched in 2005 during Venu Rajamony’s tenure as Minister – Press, Information and Culture at the Embassy.
