Profile
Ambassador (Retired) Venu Rajamony is a former Indian diplomat with 34 years of international experience, and a scholar and leader in higher education and public policy. He currently serves as Principal Adviser to Jain (Deemed-to-be University), Kochi, and Chairman of the Future Kerala Mission.
His diplomatic career includes serving as Ambassador of India to the Netherlands, with responsibility for the International Court of Justice and the Permanent Court of Arbitration, Press Secretary to the President of India, and Consul General of India in Dubai, among several senior roles in India’s foreign and economic policy institutions.
Ambassador Rajamony is Professor of Diplomatic Practice at O.P. Jindal Global University, KPS Menon Chair Professor at Mahatma Gandhi University, and a Senior Adviser to multiple international and Indian organisations in diplomacy, education, and strategic affairs.
A former journalist with The Indian Express, he is the author of four books on international relations and public policy, and speaks Mandarin Chinese fluently, in addition to English, Hindi, Malayalam, and Tamil.
